Chuck 4.13 "vs the Push Mix"

It feels weird watching the thirteenth episode of Chuck and knowing that there is still an entire second half of the season still left to watch. I don't know what is different since Chuck came back from the hiatus, either I adjusted to the new status quo or they did tone done the emphasis of Chuck/Sarah on the episode's plot but I have been enjoying the show back to the high S3 levels I once felt.

I'm still bummed that Awesome/Ellie are reduced to being Jeffster plots but for the first time I think in the history of the show I did not mind Jeffster in the episode. Their maternity ward live push mix song was so hilariously ridiculous that the only thing that would have made it better was if their singing had induced the labor of every expectant mother there.

Chuck and Morgan's interrogation scenes were great, along with their boarding of the ship. Also Morgan's authentic use of yoga moves in the laser corridor was fun to see, but I did think the wrap up of the Volkoff arc left me a bit wanting. I still have no interest in Chuck's mom - although I have to comment Linda Hamilton looks a lot better than earlier in the season - and I just didn't understand how Chuck did some of the "Orion" bits.

It was nice to have an Alex/Casey moment but I'm still not feeling the scenes they have together. I thought the Chuck/Sarah proposal was a nice touch from far away, but now I worry what exactly they will plot for the rest of the season. I assume at the very worst they could have Volkoff break out in 5 or so episodes to set up one more final battle.
