Chuck 3.16 "vs the Tooth"
May. 10th, 2010 10:18 pmOne of my favorite actors is Christopher Lloyd, so I was thrilled to see him guest star on Chuck as a CIA Psychiatrist. It's nice to see Chuck getting back to the guest star factor that they sort of got away from in the middle of S3. It was also great to see Anna Wu return but I was seriously disappointed by how she was used (being blown off in 3 short scenes to show that Morgan had changed). Felt more like a cameo than anything. Although i have to admit I've moved away from Morgan/Anna to more Morgan/Carina.
There were some great Team Bartowski moments, first the classic version with Sarah going to the CIA psychiatrist's home late at night begging for his help to get Chuck right only to discover that Casey was already there doing the same thing. And then the new version with Casey sitting down with Morgan at the Symphony and uses the tranq gun that Chuck had given him to knock Morgan out. LOL.
Obviously the point of the Ring using Ellie to get to Papa Bartowski is to show the weakness there is in not having Ellie in the loop. I'm also wondering if the concept of the Intersect deteriorating Chuck's mind is to lead to its eventual removal (or transfer to Morgan?) now that Chuck has started to become a good spy in his own right. That could be a finale question or maybe the deterioration aspect will be revealed in the finale and it will be a central theme to S4. If there is a S4. Way to end this post on an up note.
