Legend of the Seeker 2.09 "Dark" + 2.10 "Perdition"

Just in time before "Torn" premieres this weekend, I finished catching up with everyone's favorite Seeker, Mother Confessor, rogue Mord-Sith and Wizard of the First Order.

• Cara & Leo. My only problem with this ship was that it came way too soon into the season, and was rushed on top of that once Leo appeared. Cara went from actually showing remorse for the first time in her post-Mord-Sith training life in the third episode, to giggling because of Leo and giving him eyes and Kahlan going on about how much she can tell Cara likes him like they're in high school. It's like a complete 180 on the character. I wasn't sure if Leo was going to still be around once Richard returned but they certainly had him go out with a bang, or flambeau!
• Richard & Kahlan. There's something about season 2 (maybe the outfit change) but I am slowly beginning to love Kahlan in a way that didn't seem possible with how I felt about her during season 1. I wouldn't be surprised if now that she and Richard are more open about their feelings, I'm equally open to appreciating her more as a character. And apparently from what happens next week, Richard is going to appreciate her more than enough for the both of us. Richard is just an amazing hero character, every episode I'm finding myself trying to figure out what's going to go wrong in the episode just so I can see how Richard triumphs in the end.

I read the synopsis for "Torn" and ooh boy, they're certainly progressing in the amorous department between Richard & Kahlan. It's just so funny after the strong resistance they put last season from ever crossing that path, and then even in this season's "Touch" where Kahlan refused to be with a confessed!Richard, to now where the prophecy of the Mother Confessor's pure heart appearing it's clear that their romance has been shoved to the front burner.
