Watching Breaking In

It's a workplace comedy similar to the Office, only I wish it was more like the Office in the respect that despite Christian Slater's huge presence in all of the show's adverts and intro, he's not the main cog of the show. I would enjoy the show a whole much more if the show made him a focal point much like the Office does with Steve Carell's Michael Scott. Right now it feels like Breaking In is The Office if Ryan was the main character of that show.
I was thrilled when Rosenbaum's character, Dutch was brought onto the team in episode three to expand his role but it was more because it's Rosenbaum and not because his character is overly amazing. He could use some tweaking, as could Cash who I find a pointless character with less than funny references and less than interesting storylines.
They've done a nice job with cameos in the two episodes following the pilot, Alyssa Milano as Oz's (Slater) wife, and Nascar's Jimmie Johnson as Oz's childhood friend. I'll continue watching the series for Slater and Rosenbaum mostly, and whoever else they bring on for guest spots.
