The characters were perfectly crafted for the story, whether it be Rapunzel and her magical hair when she sings, the easygoing Flynn "Eugene" Rider, the animal sidekicks: Pascal the Chameleon as Rapunzel's only friend/adviser & Maximus the Royal Guard horse becoming protective of Rapunzel, the Snuggly Duckling ruffians who all have a dream, or Mother Gothel and her desire to stay young forever and the Stabbington Brothers wanting revenge on Flynn.
It was so beautiful visually, that even small moments like Rapunzel's first steps outside of the tower and her toes touching the grass are amazing to watch. Flynn and Rapunzel out on the water with the floating lanterns was also spectacular. The musical moments were quite charming as well, especially the song in the Snuggly Duckling and the fact that Zachary Levi actually sung the Flynn parts.
Two things were confirmed for me after watching Tangled. 1) Disney animation might be entering their next golden era of films comparable with the 90s. Since Pixar has been involved with the main studio I have enjoyed each release: Meet the Robinsons in 07, Bolt in 08, Princess and the Frog in 09 and now Tangled taking quality to another level that I feel comfortable comparing it to the other top 2010 animated releases of How to Train Your Dragon and Toy Story 3. 2) While I have been unimpressed with S4 of Chuck I honestly can't wait to see what other projects Zachary Levi, Adam Baldwin & Yvonne Strahovski do because they seem to be great in everything they get involved with.
If you haven't seen Tangled yet. GO! Before it leaves theatres. I can't wait to see it again.
