emeraldstag: Sailor Moon's Usagi & Luna (comic book)

Trimming my post here too to only 1 B/W per week and it revealed how much of a DC Fanboy I am. XD

Week of March 3:
Best - (Dark Horse) Mass Effect Redemption #3 - I can't get enough of this mini-series but with what little I do know about ME2 I worry that I might not like how this wraps up in the next issue. Hopefully it will explain Liara's position in ME2.
Worst - (DC) Justice League Cry for Justice #7 - This mini-series was ruined the moment they turned it from a stand alone event to one that would be tied into the changes of the JLA title. Then they go ahead and kill a character that is unforgivable. I'm tired of fiction stories killing women characters for the development of the hero that is involved with the character.

Week of March 10:
Best - (DC) Red Robin #10 - This was the second part of the RR/Batgirl crossover and while I loved both, this one came out on top because the art was great, Steph & Tim had great back and forth going/chemistry, Steph looked good fighting and Tim was impressed watching. A lot of good things. Not to mention the cameo of Vicki Vale who I thought had dropped off the side of the earth after her inclusion during Battle for the Cowl almost a year ago.
Worst - (DC) Secret Six #19 - I'm dropping this book. It's become so uninteresting for me and it hasn't been the same since Knockout departed with the rest of the New Gods.

Week of March 17:
Best - (DC) Batman #697 - Honestly, the revelation of who was the new Black Mask wasn't that interesting but was at least an original choice. What really made me choose this issue as my favorite for the week was the fact that Tony Daniel is one of the few Bat writers that actually write a nice mutual flirting relationship between Dick & Barbara and has him lean on her for info/guidance while he's Batman.
Worst - (DC) Green Lantern Corps #46 - I was confused with this issue. Guy Gardner faced off against Black Lantern!Ice and proceeded to obliterate her because it wasn't really her. But she did come back to life and should be susceptible to being a BL like Superman and etc in the main Blackest Night book. Except he destroyed BL Ice, justifying that she was just a construct like BL Batman, but SHE'S ALIVE. FAIL.

Week of March 24:
Best - (DC) Green Lantern #52 - Sinestro's chance to shine. Seeing the different entities that are attached to the different lights was cool and a great setup for the last issue of Blackest Night.
Worst - (DC) Justice League the Rise of Arsenal #1 - So they killed her so that Roy would dive back into drugs. Do we really need to retread that moment in his life? This is embarassing. I loved when he became Red Arrow and started dating Kendra. Now they're reverting him to Arsenal apparently, killed Kendra so she could come back as Shaiera apparently and well the big death. FAIL.

Week of March 31:
Best - (Dark Horse) Star Wars Legacy #46 - This has been a darker series for the most part and the reason why I didn't attach to it as solidly as I did with KOTOR but this was a fantastic issue, showing Cade's use of the light side accomplishing what he couldn't the Sith way. Fantastic.
Worst - (DC) Justice League of America #43 - Apparently having the young guns as the JL was as I feared just a temporary bridge until whatever team they put together takes over (probably for JLA 50?). Barry and Hal ditch them to chase after Ollie. Starfire abandons the team to go into space because apparently DC needs her in SPACE because they have NO IDEA WHAT TO DO WITH HER. FAIL.
