All A-Twitter

emeraldstagOf all the social type of websites that have popped up in the last 4-5 years, I'd have to say Twitter is the one that I find myself using the most. I've had an account there going on 2 years, and it's so easy and friendly to use that it's hard to stay away at times. Effortless.
Normally that's pretty much all I'd have to say on it since it's self explanatory but lately its been on my mind because of the timeline problems I've been having when using a desktop client. At times the timeline will become static for lengthy periods of time, making the client useless and forcing me to check the main twitter website on the browser. Originally I thought it was just a problem of the client I was using at the time, but looking at Twitter's own status blog cleared up the fact that they were struggling with that bug from their side.
It still hasn't fixed itself but has happened less often as the days go by. Less annoying than having the website be down, but still annoying nonetheless. I thought I'd use my current twitter-obsessed mind to wonder what everyone else is using to view their tweets and share what I've used in the past.
Twitter.com (the main website, a bit basic and gets everything done as long as you don't mind refreshing manually)
Power Twitter (mainly a firefox extension that I've had for so long that I've forgotten for the most part the website without it. You can see twitpic images loaded directly into the timeline instead of a url, and what a url is instead of just the shorturl - things like that)
Twhirl (It's no longer actively supported but the first client I used and experienced the selfupdating timeline)
Tweetdeck (Moved to this and tinkered with the idea of making groups to view peoples tweets better)
Seesmic (The creators of twhirl moved on to this and this was a fantastic client that is still in beta I think. Was the first for me that let me sign into facebook too and help me be more active with that account)
Skimmer (This is what I use now and is in beta, but I think it's another interesting client. It allows twitter,facebook,flickr,youtube & blogger integration and lets you view linked images in timelines in a way I haven't seen other clients achieve.)
