To celebrate I went ahead and changed nearly all of my icons (except Naruto because I haven't looked for new icons in forever). When you only have 15, it feels refreshing to switch all of them out.
Now a little TV recap because I've kept watching but making tumblr like posts on LJ is time consuming especially since I'm very much a perfectionist when it comes to writing, even in casual situations. LOL. My reviews of Chuck episodes are starting to wane, I'm having trouble staying consistently interested in talking about it. Awesome is pretty much non-existent now, and Ellie hasn't been interesting since Chuck moved out of their apartment. I miss Stephen Bartowski, Bryce Larkin, Jill, Hannah, Lou, even Shaw (when he was good). The show is even pointing out that Casey is wasted in missions now. Looking back, I would have really rather had a Legend of the Seeker S3 than a Chuck S4.
The show on Mondays that has me more interested is Fox's new show, The Chicago Code. It's from the creator of the Shield, and is a Chicago-based cop drama starring Jennifer Beals as the Police Superintendent, Jason Clarke as the hero detective and Delroy Lindo as the evil alderman they are trying to bring down. I'm a sucker for cops shows (was really into Blue Bloods before CBS moved its timeslot to Wednesdays) and the cat and mouse game that is happening behind the scenes of each episode is so interesting and frustrating at the same time.
I've also tried to stay current with Cartoon Network's new DC animated series, Young Justice. Just a few episodes in and the quality is radiating around the show, clearly the Greg Weisman (Gargoyles) magic is flowing again which makes me wish that Marvel/Disney had kept Spectacular Spider-Man going. The respect to the characters while making tweaks makes it easier for a fan like me who knows so much about these characters legacies that I can easily accept these incarnations without hesitation. I love this show, and it makes me wonder if Batman: the Brave and the Bold is still being made?
Another great show I can't stop watching is Showtime's Shameless starring William H. Macy, Emmy Rossum and Justin Chatwin. It's one of those racy premium cable shows but the characters are so interesting and the episodes so entertaining that makes the show so awesome. The family is weird and not perfect but the flaws make the absurdity a welcome respite from what would otherwise be a sad and dreary existence. Also when Emmy and Justin make out, sometimes I squint and think of them in their short-lived roles as Goku and Bulma.
Lastly, I have returned to using Photoshop again in my free time. I recently did an icon post at my community,
